Help your student figure out what's out there after high school that aligns with what they're good at

Self-discovery is the basis of our work to help students understand what they are good at and how they can get paid for it.

In a world where the work itself changes faster than we can help teach our students about careers, it is so important that we help your student learn how to translate their own strengths, talents and interests into meaningful careers or career paths.

Our partners have made and pulled together a number of resources to help your student connect personal motivations and assets with career pathways.

Once we've helped your student make these connections, we can begin helping them SELECT the training, education, or direct placement that aligns with who they are.

Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana has a bunch of really great materials for your student that include personality quizzes and are easy to work through without supervision or additional instruction.
  • JA My Way is an easy tool that has a simple personality quiz and walks your student through careers, savings, and entrepreneurship.
  • JA Career Discovery was created by our local JA to connect your student to local and regional career paths and training opportunities and uses the same personality quiz as JA My Way.
  • Our local JA has also created a series of videos for students that were made for eLearning but luckily are available to anyone right now.
    • Lesson 2 of JA It's My Future® will help your middle school student learn about career paths and clusters.
    • Lesson 3 of JA It's My Future® will help your middle school student learn about high growth careers.
    • Lesson 4 of JA It's My Future® will help your middle school student learn about career mapping.
