KNOW

What am I good at and what does that mean?
There aren't any wrong ways to start figuring out what you want to do after high school. But there may be smarter ways.

Don't worry about WHAT you're supposed to be. Start by thinking about WHO you are right now. What are you good at? What do you like to do? What gets you excited?

We've put together some links to help you think about this and get your thoughts together. Give them a shot.

Once you've given some real thought to what you're good at and what you like, let's start thinking about how to CONNECT what you learned about you to the different stuff you can do.

Junior Achievement (we call it JA), has a ton of great stuff to help you think about who you are and how that plugs into what you might want to do after high school.
  • JA My Way is an easy tool that starts with a super simple personality quiz, and talks about careers, savings, and even starting your own business.
  • JA Career Discovery is really cool because it uses the same quiz as JA My Way, but talks about companies and colleges right here in our part of Indiana.
  • Our local JA has also created a series of videos created for you to check out online.
    • Lesson 1 of JA It's My Future® , created for middle schoolers, will help you understand the concept of a personal brand, which is an important element of knowing who you are.
The Northeast Indiana Internship Professional Development virtual series has a couple sessions that might help you learn a thing or two about yourself. Check them out.
Registration is required and seating is limited - College and High School Students are welcome
  • CliftonStrengths for Interns
